Acclaimed actress and writer Tumi Morake discovered her comedic talent in 2006 and has since become one of the few successful female comedians in South Africa. Alongside comedians like David Kau, Marc Lottering, Stuart Taylor, and Chris Forrest, she has graced stages at prominent festivals such as Blacks Only, Whack Jobs, Heavyweights Comedy Jam, and King Size Comedy. Currently focusing on television, Tumi's acting and writing career includes notable roles like Pabi in Soul Buddies (SABC1), Persistence in SABC2's Askies, and the lead role of Millicent in Izoso Connection (SABC1), where she is also credited as a writer. Her contributions extend to cameo appearances in flagship shows like Justice For All, Nomzamo, and City Ses’la, and she is part of the writing team for the SABC sitcom Nomzamo.
