Marcus Mabusela, a versatile artist based in Johannesburg, transitioned from an Information Technology career to pursue his passion for acting. Graduating from The Market Theatre Laboratory in 2013, he honed his skills in performance, theater production, writing, and voice work. Known for his process-driven approach, Mabusela infuses each character he portrays with unique personality traits and distinct physical and vocal qualities. His stage credits include notable productions such as 'Ketekang' directed by James Ngcobo, 'Tate E tla Gae' at The Market Theatre under Clive Mathibe's direction, Athol Fugard's 'My Children, My Africa,' and 'Poet.O.Type' at The Joburg Theatre. Additionally, his solo production 'Connection to Home' earned him a Best Production award at the 2016 Goree Island International Arts Festival in Senegal.
