MindloLav was born on February 23, 1985, in Siyabuswa (formerly KwaNdebele homeland). His ambition began in primary school at Lungisani Primary in 1996, inspired by FBK Skhosana, a former Ikwekwezi FM On-Air Presenter. MindloLav matriculated from uBuhlebethu High School in Siyabuswa in 2002, winning the 1st prize for African Languages Olympiad for isiNdebele.

After matriculating, he studied National Diploma in Information Technology at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT). In January 2006, MindloLav auditioned at PRIDA (School of Arts) and received a scholarship for one year to study broadcasting.

During the December holidays of the same year, they joined Moutse Community Radio Station as a part-time presenter. In 2008, he was employed by Ikwekwezi FM (SABC) and currently present the program called Sizigedlile which airs Monday to Thursday between 21h00 & 24h00.
