His name is Luca Human-Mare, and he’s been selected as an official match ball carrier for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after winning the Kia Kick Off Kid competition. Which means he’ll literally walk the match ball onto the field before kickoff at a World Cup game in Atlanta when Bafana Bafana take the pitch. He’s only been playing football for about three years, but he already dreams of becoming a professional player one day, inspired by legends like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. And the best part? Luca is actually joining us in studio today.

Rayden Woolls is only 12 years old, but he’s already making serious waves in South African motocross. Last season he absolutely dominated the 65cc class, winning the African Championship, the South African National Championship and a regional title in the same year, which earned him the nickname “The Triple Threat”. Now he’s stepping up to the more powerful 85cc class and continuing his journey on the national MX circuit.

Gregg Mitchley is about to embark on a massive walk from Johannesburg all the way to Durban to raise funds for two young South African children, Jesse and Sadie Krause, who are battling a rare immune condition and currently need specialised treatment overseas. The condition, called DOCK8 deficiency, leaves their immune systems extremely vulnerable, meaning even a small infection can become life-threatening, and the best treatment available is a specialised bone marrow transplant. So Gregg has decided to literally put his body on the line and walk hundreds of kilometres to help raise funds and awareness for them.
