Mothusi Magano gained fame for portraying Charles "Mingus" Khathi in The Lab from 2006 to 2009. Born in Phokeng near Rustenburg, he began performing at Mmabana Cultural Centre in Mafikeng. After studying at Wits School of Dramatic Art, he appeared in films like Hotel Rwanda and Tsotsi. Magano showcased his talent in stage productions and guest-starred in TV series like Zero Tolerance and Home Affairs. He later starred in Tempy Pushas, and Skeem Saam.
