Mdu and Nomathemba search and find Maseko’s sister and accomplice. After an interrogation, she gives information about Mandla’s whereabouts. The two rush to the scene and rescue Mandla and Mbali from the claws of Pastor Maseko and his partner in crime, the witch doctor. After this near-death experience, Mandla reevaluates what matters to him.

Mandla has moved out of their house and into his Mother’s main house on the compound and stumbles across a deprogramming Evangelist, and together with Mdu, they put a plan into action: Zamokuhle must be captured and exorcised. After she is exorcised, Zamokuhle spills the beans on Pastor Maseko’s shenanigans. Meanwhile, Pastor Maseko has convinced Mthunzi to kidnap Mbali in exchange for Senzo’s freedom. He has someone on the inside and promises Mthunzi Senzo’s docket.

Mandla’s men capture Zamokuhle, but unfortunately, she is cagey, only recites a verse about keeping her oath. Mandla lets her go, with a dead end. Zamokuhle reports the incident to Maseko, trusting him to deal with Mandla, but the naïve girl has just placed herself in harm’s way; Maseko will eliminate anything that threatens to expose his operations. He orders a hit on her

Mandla’s men interrogate Jiyane, and when they fail, Mandla insists that he instigate the cross-examination instead. During the interrogation, Jiyane Mbali steps in and seemingly recognises Jiyane. There seems to be a connection between Jiyane and Mbali. She panics, and for a split second, Mandla loses concentration, and Jiyane stabs him, then escapes.

Another suspect slips through the net and seeks refuge at the pastor's house. Mandla brings the pastor in for questioning regarding the fugitive. Senzo is arrested as the primary suspect in his girlfriend's murder. Frustrated, Mthunzi disrupts the pastor’s sermon and suffers a brutal beating. Thando schemes to ensnare Mandla while Noma desperately seeks Swazi's help.

Senzo discovers his girlfriend being dropped off by another man's car. A key suspect in Kudzai's case flees, triggering a high-stakes pursuit. An unexpected visitor arrives at the home, shocking Noma and Mandla. The suspect dies mid-chase as Mandla conceals vital information in Kudzai’s file. Noma leaves the house just as Thando arrives to visit troubled Mandla.

Mandla leads an urgent meeting addressing the alarming abortion outbreak at the clinic. He brings Kudzai in for intense questioning to uncover the cause of the crisis. Mthunzi visits Mandla's home and uncovers sensitive information about Noma. The situation takes a turn when Mandla is unexpectedly summoned to a private meeting as the discussion centres on a mysterious piece of paper that could alter everything.

After Mandla’s mother is attacked, he confronts Mthunzi but refuses to drop the case. The council debates the rightful heir, as Mthunzi objects. Mandla hesitates on succession, causing more conflict with Noma.

Mandla loses Bukiwe's case after a key witness disappears. Bukiwe is hit by a car and needs surgery. A viral video further humiliates Mandla, causing a breakdown. He forces his mother to go to the hospital despite her protests. Noma's pregnancy news is followed by tragedy, leaving Mandla reeling.
