The youth of 1976 did not take this lying down. An estimated 20,000 learners took it upon themselves to fight for what they believed was right. (Accompanied by footage from archives) Stories Untold team took a trip across Johannesburg, searching for high schools in townships to check the progress the youth of 1976 had achieved. We went to Tembisa Commerce and Entrepreneurship School of Specialisation, previously known as Tembisa High School; Katlehong Engineering School of Specialisation, previously known as Katlehong Technical High School; and Vine Christian School, a private school in Krugersdorp. We conversed with some of their staff members.
